Joint cross-boundary merger to scrutinise top Hull and East Riding politicians
The first ever joint scrutiny committee is being set up by the region s two councils.
The move will see councillors from Hull and the East Riding overseeing key decisions being made by the two council leaders Steve Brady and Richard Burton.
It marks the latest step in a gradual shift towards more cross-boundary working between the two councils as they continue to push for a new combined authority as part of a devolution deal with the government.
