We ve got a phone case. We ve got doggy neckerchiefs. Connie Swartz is in the business of recycling. I thought I could make products out of these uniforms, but it s probably not like any recycling you ve ever seen before. Honor and dignity and courage. All of those things are still in that uniformed. Connie takes donated military fatigues and gives them new life as something else, modern and useful because she wants people to feel those same things towards thes products as they felt towards the man and the woman in the uniforms. Connie says it s quite a process. She has veteran volunteers to help take the uniforms apart. Then she took him to the sewing labs, which is a local nonprofit that teaches people to.
