The Norwalk Tree Alliance stumbled upon the stone monument dedicated by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1951 to what was purported to be the second-largest Oak Tree in the United States at the time. The tree is long gone, but the Tree Alliance, Norwalk Tree Advisory Commission and Daughters of the American Revolution plan to rededicate the stone monument this fall.
