Mallikarjun Kharge was on Wednesday declared elected as the new Congress President, succeeding Sonia Gandhi who has led the grand old party for more than two decades the longest tenure held by anyone in that position.
He told reporters at Adoni during Bharat Jodo Yatra that the Congress president will be the final authority and he will decide how the party is going to move forward.
