“This project is being launched to the public in light of events that have been plaguing the country’s news industry for the last five years: journalist killings, arrests, red-tagging, filing of libel charges, to name a few.”
The Initiative for Media Freedom (IMF) is a five-year programme implemented in the Philippines by Internews and a range of partners to support an independent and free press that is able to counter disinformation, promote political inclusion, and enhance democratic governance.
