Kaduna: Troops apprehend suspected kidnappers in Chikun

The Kaduna State Government, on Saturday said, troops have apprehended suspected kidnappers in Chikun local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State.
According to the statement, “Troops of the Nigerian Navy have arrested three kidnappers in Kujama, Chikun local government area on Friday.
“According to the report, the bandits, in a black Toyota Corolla, drove up to the shop of a POS agent in the area and attempted to kidnap the operator and a customer who was there for a transaction. ....

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has sent a message of condolence to the Adamawa State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) over the death of its member, Ibrahim Abdulaziz.
This was as the NUJ on Saturday morning declared a 3-day mourning for the late writer and broadcaster who at the time of death was the Adamawa State correspondent of Voice of America (VOA) and Premium Times as well as broadcaster with Yola-based Gotel Communications, a TV/radio house owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Ibrahim Abdulaziz had died on Friday in Alkaleri, Bauchi State, following an accident involving a vehicle in which he was travelling. ....
