The exam board in a statement by its Head of Public Affairs, Dr. Fabian Benjamin said criminal elements dupe students under the guise of registering them for the 2021/22 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) application. ”It is a criminal offence for one to use the exam bodys’ name and logo when one is not licensed by the Board to do so for any reason, ” Dr. Fabian warned. ....

Bem Goong, Director Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, announced the parley in a statement on Monday. Goong said the Education Minister, Adamu Adamu will chair the meeting on the union’s “threat to embark on another round of strike” “The emergency meeting is to hold tomorrow, the 6th of April 2021 at 11:00 am in the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja”, it read. National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B, yesterday, issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the management of University of Benin, (UNIBEN) to reverse the suspension of the Students Union Government (SUG) executives or face mass protests. In a statement issued in Benin City, Zone B Coordinator of NANS, Comrade Etinyene Friday Offongekpe, expressed concern over the development, insisting that the university authorities should have explored the option of dialogue rather than suspend the SUG executive. He said NANS would not rest on its oars until the issues around the suspension were resolved. “After proper consultation and consideration, the zonal leadership assured the suspended SUG executive of UNIBEN our total support and solidarity even as we advise the management to review the decision and give room for dialogue, failing which, NANS will mobilise the zonal and national leadership to the institution until the executive is reinstated. ....
