Dangote is Nigeria's biggest problem - Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has slammed Africa’s Richest businessman, Aliko Dangote for allegedly exploiting Nigerians via the Dangote Cement Company.
The IPOB leader alleged that the Dangote cement is sold cheaper in other countries while the price is doubled in Nigeria.
Kanu made the allegation on Wednesday via a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.
The tweet reads: “In Zambia, Dangote sells cement for 55 Kwatcha (1150 Naira). But here in Nigeria, the same cement is going for 3,000 to 5,000 Naira.

Imo attacks: Group demands arrest, trial of security heads for alleged conspiracy

Following the recent attack on Imo State correctional centre (prisons) by unknown gunmen which led to the loss of lives and property, a cultural group, Igbo National Council (INC), has demanded that all the heads of security agencies, including the police, be arrested and tried.
It accused them of conspiring with the hoodlums to perpetrate the dastardly act.
The President of the group, Godsent Chilos made this demand through a press release made available to newsmen.
The release further accused the security agencies in the state of lacking the capacity to effectively protect peoples lives and property. ....

Troops rescue five abducted Kaduna college students

Troops of I Division, FCC, Nigerian Army has said it rescued five of the students of the College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna who were kidnapped by bandits on March 11.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, NAN reports.
Yerima gave the names of the rescued students as Abubakar Yakubu, Francis Paul, Obadiya Habakkuk, Amina Yusuf and Maryam Danladi.
He said the rescued students are currently receiving medical attention in a military facility in Kaduna.
According to him, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) I Division, Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen Danjuma Alli-Keffi, has commended the troops for their effort. ....

Amotekun Osun debunks rumours of harassing residents

The Western Security Network, Amotekun, Osun has described as false the information in some quarters that its personnel have been going about in marked vans, harassing citizens and residents of Osogbo.
Speaking to DAILY POST, the Assistant Head of Media and Publicity to the Field Commander, Yusuf Idowu stated that those harassing residents in those locations were not Amotekun personnel but members of other security outfit who go about tagging themselves as Amotekun.
He disclosed that Amotekun Osun is a well coordinated government security outfit under the supervision of the field commander, Comrade Amitolu Shittu.
According to him, “The Amotekun Corp is always recognised with their red customised van and not with any other security vans or motorcycle. ....
