The National Association of Nigerian Students in Diaspora (NANS-D) has inaugurated new members of its executive council, led by Abdulrazak Abdulrahman Abubakar, a student at a higher institution in South Africa. NANS-D earlier in the year elected new leaders. The inauguration was held on Sunday and witnessed by the Vice President, External Affairs of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde, who represented the President of the Association.

THE National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), SouthWest, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on security in the country in view of the rising cases of herdsmen attack on farmers, kidnappings for ransom, armed robbery, raping and other security challenges.
The students also asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammed Adamu to relocate to the South-West region in order to find an end to the onslaught on the people of the region by killer-herdsmen.
NANS said the call became imperative following the persistent attacks by marauding Fulani herdsmen on some villages in the South-West states, particularly, Ogun, Ondo and Oyo.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South West Zone has called on President Mohammadu Buhari to declare the Miyetti Allah Castle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) as a terrorist group, threatening to unleash terror on killer Fulani herdsmen in the region.
The association said this was as a result of the alleged killings, kidnapping, raping and maiming of residents of the South West region by suspected killer-Fulani herdsmen.
