Outlining the key objectives, Rao said, “The main goal of the SAANS campaign is to include the adoption and adherence to National Childhood Pneumonia Management guidelines, creating awareness and mobilising the community for pneumonia protection, prevention, and treatment. The initiative also focuses on early identification and management of children under five years with suspected pneumonia, as well as strengthening facility-level management for severe pneumonia cases.”
