Hexpol to acquire Vigar’s rubber compounding operations

Rubber compounds producer Hexpol has signed a deal to buy VIGAR Rubber Compounding, which operates within Grupo Vigar, for €19m.
Vigar Rubber Compounding operates manufacturing facilities in Rubi, Spain and Viersen, Germany, and has a workforce of 134 across its operations.
The acquisition is a very good complement to Hexpol Compounding in Europe and broadens and strengthens our presence with Rubber Compounds into the Spanish and German markets.
In 2013, the company generated revenues of €57m.
Hexpol said that the transaction will have no significant impact on its earnings per share as Vigar Rubber Compounding generates a positive EBITDA margin less than the Hexpol Group. ....
