There is a communication technique we like to refer to as “The Compliment Sandwich,” where you sandwich some sort of negative between two fluffy pieces of freshly baked nice things.
This technique is great for when your husband asks if his outfit matches (Love the shirt! Those pants look horrendous. You’re so handsome!) or your young child makes you scrambled eggs (You didn’t undercook them! These random shells may make me throw up. You’re so thoughtful, mommy loves you!)
