After initially being delayed and then cancelled altogether last year due to the pandemic, prom returns this Saturday night to Mid-Prairie High School with a theme of “Slow Dancing in a Parking Lot.” Principal Jay Strickland says the students’ enthusiasm for prom to be back is very evident, but the excitement has extended to the community as well, “Last spring was really difficult for everyone with everything being halted and cancelled, everything being closed up, so I think it’s been good for people to slowly be able to get back in the swing of things and some of these longtime traditions and events to come back. I think it’s been great.” ....
