According to the city s online permit database, two new commercial buildings are planned to take its place in the Stonecreek Village shopping center: One is Aspen Dental. 1. Why should people get vaccinated?
My belief is that if we would like to return to some level of normal, reverse the economic and psychological impact, then the community needs to achieve herd immunity. The quickest way to achieve that is by getting nearly everyone vaccinated.
2. Why do you think people are not getting vaccinated? Have community members said they don’t want to get vaccinated? And for what reasons?
I do ask my patients if they have received the vaccine yet and most have been vaccinated. I don’t ask “why they haven’t?” but they often volunteer their thoughts. Of the patients that haven’t, they prefer to wait until it receives full approval from the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Some have chosen to wait because of concerns on the side effects that they have heard from friends and a few are based on social media (some valid and others still believe it is a hoax). Jose Rodriguez is the president and CEO of El Concilio, a nonprofit community-based organization offering a variety of services to the Hispanic population of the Central Valley.
He has worked in his role for more than 25 years and continues to do so. As a son of migrant farmworking parents, through El Concilio he tries to help families have access to the resources they need to support themselves and their children.
El Concilio has been part of the Central Valley and San Joaquin County community for 52 years. “We believe in taking care of the entire family,” Rodriguez said.
