In a significant step towards fulfilling a longstanding aspiration of the residents of Knights Landing, the construction of the Knights Landing Community Park is set to get started with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, April 9 at 4 p.m.
The campaign for Wesley Place kicked off in November, with construction of new center beginning when the organization reaches its goal of raising $4.9 million.
Earlier this week, California State Parks announced $41.9 million in grant funding to support the diverse park needs of communities across the state. Among the recipients was Yolo County's Knights Landing, which was awarded a total of $814,649.
