Speaking online during the Business Statement in the virtual Welsh Parliament, I reiterated calls for the Welsh Government to commit to giving policing some priority in the Covid-19 vaccine rollout. The following day, I called on the Health Minister, to respond to North Wales Police Federation s call for frontline police officers to be placed on a vaccination standby list, as in some parts of England, but he failed to answer the question asked. Our North Wales police officers deserve so much more.
I supported the Public Health (Protection from Eviction) (Wales) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 as a Public Health response to transmission of the Covid-19 virus, extending the suspension on eviction enforcement to the March 31 . Covid vaccine: Gwynedd pharmacy 'first in Wales to offer jab'

A pharmacy has become the first in Wales to offer Covid jabs, as community vaccine trials begin.
Fifty people with appointments are to visit the pharmacy near Pwllheli, Gwynedd, on Friday to receive their first shot of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
The pilot has begun in pharmacies in Betsi Cadwaladr health board.
First Minister Mark Drakeford said community pharmacists can help with vaccinations in more than one way .
UK Government figures show 126,375 people in Wales, 4% of the population, have received their first coronavirus jab so far.
That compares with 4.1% (224,840) in Scotland, 4.9% in England (2,769,164) and 6% (114,567) in Northern Ireland.
Hundreds more pharmacies in Wales will offer the jab in the next two weeks. ....

Penarth care home first in Vale to get residents vaccinated

A CARE HOME in Penarth has become the first in the Vale of Glamorgan to get all of its residents vaccinated.
Towerhill Care Home last week had all 14 residents vaccinated, and Peggy Nicholls, who is 87 and has lived at the home since January 2019, was one of the first to receive the jab.
She said: “I think we re really lucky to have the vaccine. It makes me feel much safer to know I ve had it. It didn t even hurt. The staff are lovely here and we have lots of fun together.”
Beth Zehetmayr, manager of Towerhill, said: “This is an incredibly happy day for everyone at Towerhill. After all that we have been through together we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. ....
