Minister of Transportation and Communications Wang Kwo-tsai (王國材) yesterday pledged to help Taoyuan International Airport Corp (TAIC) raise funds after financial losses at the state-run company are expected to increase due to travel to the nation remaining restricted.
Wang made the remarks after local media reported that the operator of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is on the brink of bankruptcy and would next month need help from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) to secure a NT$10 billion (US$358.78 million) loan.
“We will assist the company in raising the capital, so it can continue constructions of Terminal 3 and a
