LAS CRUCES – New Mexico is vaccinating its residents for COVID-19 at a rate of nearly 9,000 daily, health officials said Wednesday, but there were few answers about apparent disparities in the distribution of vaccines through the state s 33 counties. According to data reported by the state Department of Health, a total of 291,742 doses have been administered statewide of COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna. Both vaccines require two shots, spaced weeks apart, and 67,106 had reportedly received both doses as of Wednesday.
