Maybe a few hundred officers. it doesn t take much to lose control. i do realize that the optics may not be the optics that we would like to see, but i guarantee you if all of a sudden there s any belief or any chance that they think they the overrun or take a run to the border, there s no way a few hundred officers, agents, dps is going to prevent that catastrophe. people will get hurt. the optics will be worse. you ve got to be able to maintain some kind of control, command presence at that border to prevent things from getting worse. what you saw and in some people s optics is not as pleasant. however, things could get a lot worse if those agents and officers are not doing the job that they re doing. i ask people to think about any other border around the united states and what would happen if you tried to push your way through it. you d be stopped. ....
