Ohio Republicans significantly outspent Democrats in the final weeks of the 2020 election, according to the final campaign numbers released by the Ohio Secretary of State. 
It s a reality that Democrats running for office across the Buckeye State have struggled with for years. They get outspent, often by a lot. For example, the Ohio Republican Party spent $7.5 million on state House races between Oct. 15 and Dec. 4. Democrats spent about $2.8 million.
If I had another million dollars, I might have won one or two more seats, said Ohio House Democratic Caucus Director Aryeh Alex. 
But it wouldn t have changed the balance of power in Columbus, where Republicans control the House, Senate and governor s office. In fact, House Republicans still would be up one seat over the last General Assembly if Alex s caucus had won those two seats. Republicans are going from 61 to 64 House seats come January. ....
