Wreaths Across America honors Western Montana veterans and last updated 2020-12-21 13:18:56-05 MISSOULA — More than 2,000 cemeteries nationwide took part in the annual “Wreaths Across America” event over the weekend to honor our fallen veterans. Each year, a new theme is chosen to help volunteers and supporters focus their messaging and outreach in their own communities. This year, Wreaths Across America chose the theme, “Be an American Worth Fighting For.” A socially distant crowd gathered at the Western Montana Veterans Cemetery on Saturday where that message was heard and felt by many. Attendees distributed around 1,000 wreaths to each headstone, pausing for a moment of reflection.
