Well break down the numbers and try to explain how they compare to last year. A leaking pipe called this mess in the middle of k street in downtown d. C. Today. Water came bubbling up a manhole in the middle of to a crosswalk. No businesses or offices in that area lost water or water pressure. D. C. Water says it started with a leak in a 30inch pipe. Crews are digging up the ground near that pipe to try to find the source of that leak. Some people in springfield had to do some shoveling this morning but it is the cold that is impacting the water mains right now. Chief meteorologist Doug Kammerer is here to talk about the cold weather and what we can expect. Things will get a lot colder.
