The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College will bring back “City as a Venue” after a successful inaugural presentation in 2021. Originally concepted to keep arts programming active and provide an outlet for the community during the pandemic, the FAC offered a summerlong series outdoors on campus and at various locations across the city. While COVID restrictions have lifted, and indoor programming is back, the City as a Venue line up will this year include both indoor and outdoor programming.
Theâ¯Colorado Springs Fine Arts Centerâ¯at Colorado College will bring theater, dance, music and art classes to outdoor locations across Colorado Springs this summer through a new program called City as a Venue.
âMaking the arts accessible to everyone is an important part of our mission,â FAC Director Idris Goodwin said. âAs health guidelines and restrictions are updated and more of our community gets vaccinated, we are optimistic about the prospect of gathering once again to enjoy the arts.â
City as a Venue programming will begin in June and run through early October, presenting a robust and diverse calendar of outdoor and socially distanced arts experiences for the community.
