Ohio Governor asked US President for help deploying medical professionals on the ground in the town of East Palestine where a train wreck led to the release of toxic chemicals into the environment, said Ohio EPA Director Anne Vogel.
Some 3,500 fish have died after a train derailment earlier this month contaminated a river near the city of East Palestine, Ohio Department of Natural Resources Director Mary Mertz said.
Ohio Governor said in a statement that drinking water in the city of East Palestine is safe to drink after a new test detected no contaminants following the derailment of train of toxic chemicals earlier this month.
