Amrit Pradhan, a 24-year-old youth, is neither a celebrity nor does he belong to an affluent family in Odisha. But, a special team of doctors from the Apollo Hospital, Chennai, came here to shift him in an air-ambulance possibly for a lung transplant.
Amidst the all-pervasive gloom and pessimism during the pandemic, the airlifting of the unemployed youth has thrown up an example of community bonding and camaraderie.
Following an emotional appeal from the family members, people from across the country have raised close to ₹60 lakh helping the youth continue his battle against COVID-19.

Forty members of the inaugural class of Undergraduate Research Scholar Awardees will be honored at this year’s graduation ceremonies. The recognition highlights their accomplishments in a variety of complex and demanding research areas during their time at RIT. It also shows RIT’s commitment to meeting the growing demand by undergraduates for research experiences to complement coursework.

Provided RIT’s VEX U Robotics team hosted universities from around the country for a competition prior to the COIVD-19 pandemic. The club team competed virtually through the remainder of its 2020-21 season and is ranked 12th overall among collegiate teams in the U.S.
The RIT VEX U Robotics team placed third overall in its late March competition at the Purdue SIGBots Remote Skills Qualifier. It was the fourth event of the season and the team moved up to 12th among the 300 teams in the league that includes robots from the U.S., Canada, China, Puerto Rico, Morocco, Spain, and Mexico.
