One of five finalists for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award, Duarte is one of just two players nationally averaging 16.7 points and 1.9 steals per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field. He is the only major conference player with those averages.
Duarte is second in the Pac-12 in steals, second in three-pointers per game (2.4) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.430)
This is Duarte s fourth All-America honor of 2020-21. He was named a third team All-American by the Associated Press on Tuesday. Previously, Duarte was named a third-team All-American by College Hoops Today/Jon Rothstein and Basketball Times.
