The high-level roundtable will discuss the grave situation of trade union rights in Belarus with UN special rapporteurs. The event will provide an opportunity for reflection on how to best achieve implementation of the ILO resolution adopted on 12 June 2023 by the International Labour Conference which called for actions, under article 33 of the ILO Constitution, to secure compliance with the recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry established to examine the observance by the Government of Belarus of the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention, 1948 (No. 87) and the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining Convention, 1949 (No. 98).
