Here s a 2021 guide to summer camps in Middle Georgia

May 3 The last day of school for Middle Georgia students is less than a month away, and summertime brings with it many fun activities for kids.
Although many summer camps were canceled or moved to a virtual format in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, several summer camps are planned for the 2021 summer.
Jennifer Hoffman, an infectious disease physician with Coliseum Health, said each parent or guardian has to contemplate multiple factors when considering whether or not to send their child to a summer camp while the pandemic remains ongoing.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) It’s been more than a year since the pandemic started and so much is still unknown about the Coronavirus. One thing that is certain though is pandemic restrictions aren’t going anywhere until further notice.
Life changed seemingly overnight last March. Schools moved to online learning. Restaurants moved to strictly takeout. Even businesses found a way to adapt to online shopping and curbside pickup. Masks weren’t even a recommendation until April of last year. Some people hoped the pandemic would be over in a short period of time. Michael Hokanson, Public Information Officer with North Central Health District says he expected this to go on for longer.

MACON, Ga. If you re looking for a job, Coliseum Health is hiring.
On Tuesday, the system will host an event for registered nurses.
It s happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Macon Marriott City Center on Coliseum Drive in Macon.
Candidates will meet with hiring managers from Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside.
You should bring an updated resume and cover letter. They re also asking that you wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) Coliseum Health System and North Central Health District received shipments of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday.
Coliseum began administering the vaccine to frontline workers in their hospital system. They expect to vaccinate 800 people with this shipment. It’s not a requirement to get the vaccine, but about 70 percent of their staff is choosing to get the vaccine.
Coliseum Health System CEO, Stephen Daugherty, says the vaccine is another step towards protecting their staff.
“Once we have our staff protected we know we’ll be able to be here for the patients and the rest of the community that are going to need us through the remainder of the pandemic,” said Daugherty.
