Edwin Dinsdale, who represents Corkickle South on Whitehaven Town Council, made the comments during a meeting on Thursday. The policy bans councillors from “engaging in online fights and personal attacks”, as well as “posting controversial or inflammatory remarks”. Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership is looking for the ideal site in the county to house the first prototype nuclear fusion facility. When suitable locations are identified, plans for the power plant will then be submitted to the bidding process which is being held by the UK Atomic Energy Authority. Nuclear fusion is believed to be the next generation of clean energy production.
