The death toll is rising with irma now blamed for at least 22 deaths here in the u. S. Nearly 5 million power customers are suffering through another night without electricity. President trump will get a firsthand look as he visits the storm zone tomorrow. And the florida keys took the biggest hit with nearly every home damaged or completely destroyed. Some areas still cut off. But all 42 bridges across the keys have now been deemed safe. And ice is in such short supply that people are lining up in miami for several hours to get their hands on whatever they can. Conditions more dangerous. Elderly residents were evacuated this morning from a hollywood nursing home that lost power during Hurricane Irma. Police say three patients guided the facility and two at a hospital. We believe at this time they may be related to the loss of power and the storm. Reporter police have started to criminal investigation into the deaths. They did not say whether the facility had air conditioning when paramedics were called early this morning. As we arrived on the scene with our fire rescue crews, we saw that there were a number of people in respiratory distress. Reporter across florida 4. 4 million homes and businesses still have no power. Floridas biggest utility lined up prepare trucks this morning in the miami area.
