We were going to make the world a better place, through recreation, says Connie Edmonston, retiring Fayetteville director of Parks and Recreation, reflecting on the plan she and her husband, Craig, had while in college. That was our goal.
There s little doubt she succeeded. She was asked to compile a list of milestones during her more than three-decade tenure in the Parks and Recreation department. These were not projects created totally by me – it takes a city to create an amazing parks system in which to live, work and play, she wrote at the top of the list. Lee E. Price, 74, of Coldwater, passed away surrounded by his family, Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Lockwood Cemetery with Pastor Shayne Looper from Lockwood Community Church officiating.  Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Lee was born October 15, 1946 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Edward & Ethelyn (Tooman) Price.  He married Nancy A. Breneman on August 5, 1967 in Coldwater. They celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Lee was a lifelong farmer, owning and operating his family farm.  He also worked at the former Federal Mogul and as a custodian for the Coldwater school administration offices and Lakeland School.  He was always a favorite amongst the kids at Lakeland. ....

Laura Ann Berry, 74 of Coldwater passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. 
In following her wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a celebration of life at a later date. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Laura was born January 7, 1947 to Lyle and Doris (Lane) Barry in Coldwater. She was a very hardworking woman, spending 28 years with the State of Michigan as a Case Worker, taking an early buyout. Laura then took a position at the Walmart Distribution center in 1999 and retired in 2019 as a Transportation Traffic Coordinator. She was married at an early age to Phillip Parker. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1994. After his death, she took another job with Video Connection, where she worked for several years. Laura then met and married Jack Berry on December 30, 1996. Together they created many memories. ....
