good morning. i m randy kay. we start this morning with a look ahead. tomorrow former presidential candidate john edwards heads to federal court. prosecutors say edwards used nearly $1 million in campaign contributions to sdooef the public. they say he was hiding an affair and a child. the mistress is expected to be the star in the trial. she has imunit. edwards and his attorneys say he did nothing wrong. we ll have much more on the details of this case in about ten minutes. a major figure from the watergate scandal has died. chuck coleson. he was the first of richard nixon s aides to be he took his punishment, seven months in prison, and turned his life around. here he is in 1999. we ve healed a great deal from what happened in watergate, but it took a long period of time for people to recognize what they had done wrong, i apologize for what i did and to the people hi offended and after ligue prison in the mid 1970s colson founded the prison fellowship. it s now a

more secret service agents have resigned tonight in the wake of a prost cushion scandal that rocked the agency. now, the secret service announced an additional employee is under investigation. this employee on administrative leave tonight. the total, six secret service members have lost their jobs because of allegations they brought prostitutes back to their hotel rooms in cartegena, colombia, while on official business with the president of the united states. we are learning that the number of military members under investigation has grown from ten to 11. it s all branches here. six from the army. two from the marine corps. two from the navy and one from the air force. just a short time ago, we learned that the embattled director of the secret service mark sullivan actually briefed the president today in person on his investigation. which overall is expanding to include interviews with every secret service member on the trip, hotel staff, and the alleged prostitutes. we ll i
took the stand and apologized to trayvon martin s family. cnn martin savidge examining evidence from florida. when is he expected to be released and where is he likely to go? yeah, two very good questions right now we re trying to find answers to. we re standing outside the corrections facility where george zimmerman is being held. this the receiving point. this the way he went in. we re believing this the way he will come out. security is in the minds of the security conscious. if he comes out this door we ll have to wait and see. as to when, his attorney said it would take a couple of days to finance the bond and the way of monitoring george zimmerman while he s out and about. he s going to require electronic monitoring and other means by which the state of florida will remain in contact with him. that s going to take a while. where he will go, that s another big question mark. his attorney requested he be able to leave the state of florida. the judge that granted bond sa
the folks at the brookings tax policy center helped us put this together. these different groups of popcorn represent your income level. the bigger the bag, the bigger the income level of the group we re talking about. i want to use the popcorn to demonstrate how much of the total pie, how much of the total tax revenue is generated by each group. let s start over here with the little one. these are people who earn less than $30,000 a year. that, by the way, is about 44.8% of all households in the united states. they don t pay a lot in income tax. in fact, generally speaking they get back 4.8%. i m going to put a few kernels into their pot because they are not paying taxes. let s look at another group. this bag represents people who earn between $30 and $100,000 a year. that s about 40% of households in the united states. this group represents a contribution of 18%. 18% of the total personal tax revenues come from here. i m going to put about two handfuls of popcorn in the bow
