for pennsylvania s open senate seat. the first and only face-off between democrat john fetterman and republican mehmet oz quickly spiralled into a series of biting personal attacks. much of the attention leading up to the debate was focused on fetterman s stroke in may and how it might affect his performance. safe to say it did. at times he struggled for words or lost his train of thought. oz did not draw attention to fetterman s trouble. instead he focused on painting fetterman as, quote, extreme using that word over and over. john fetterman takes everything to an extreme and those extreme positions hurt us all. let s also talk about the elephant in the room. i had a stroke. he s never let me forget that. and i might miss some words during this debate. mush two words together but it knocked me down, i m going to keep coming back up. fetterman especially lost his footing on the subject of fracking when questioned about a 2018 interview when he said he would never ....

inflation? there are different ways to look at this. so for americans it means the hiring continues, 263,000 jobs and it was pretty broad-based hiring, but when you look at the trend, poppy, it is the slowest pace of hiring since about april 2021, it matches april 2021. so when you look at that nice bar chart you can see slowing jobs growth and that s exactly what the fed is looking for. it s been raising interest rates now for six months and it actually takes about six months for monetary policy to effect these kind of economic statistics. back in march raised interest rates 25 basis points, now this is where we are in september. but the jobless rate fell back to near that 50-year low of 3.5%. that s near full employment and we ve seen from other statistics people who want a job have a couple of jobs to choose from really in this economy here. so 3.5% still low across the board hiring. leisure and hospitality 83,000, health care 60,000. now you are back to pre-pandem ....

this investigation of the police force and their response, the school police force. they have been very unhappy, at times calling for him to resign, for his resignation, as well. finally now word coming that he does intend to start the process of his retirement there in uvalde. he has been someone who s been part of this community his whole life. he was fairly well liked before all this happened. he s been with the community, he s been with the school for 31 years. his father was the superintendent before that. so people thought there was unfair process in terms of how he got the job. but certainly he could never imagine, you know, what he s faced in the last several months. and just the handling of all of this, how poor the school district has handled this, how they ve disrespected these families. again, this is something families wanted. they were protesting outside that school all week. and now finally word comes that he is going to retire. it will be a process. it s ....
