ANN ARBOR, MI After four months with no word from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on whether she’ll support a federal Superfund cleanup of the Gelman dioxane plume in Ann Arbor, local advocates are getting ready to travel to Lansing.
They’re planning to rally on the lawn of the Michigan Capitol at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, urging Whitmer to issue a concurrence letter in support of having the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency consider placing the decades-old plume on the National Priorities List for a Superfund cleanup. ....
