Coal India Q4 Results: Revenue from operations during the January-March 2024 period declined 2% year-on-year to Rs 37,410 crore. The same stood at Rs 38,152 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Operationally, the production of raw coal increased to 241 million tonnes in the fourth quarter as against 198 million tonnes in the previous-year period.
During the financial year ended March 31, 2024, the company announced interim dividends on two occasions - the first interim dividend of Rs 15.25 per equity share was declared on November 10, 2023, while the second interim dividend of Rs 5.25 was announced on February 12, 2024, respectively.
Coal India said its profit in Q4 shrunk 18 per cent compared to the same quarter of FY'22 primarily due to increased provisions towards the wages in National Coal Wage Agreement –XI.
