CLYDE - City residents will receive a welcome back to spring and summer in 2021 when the Aquatic Center and recreation activities get rolling.
Clyde City Council has waived activity fees and pool admission fees for residents of the city proper. The council approved a resolution April 20 eliminating the fees as a thank you to its residents for patience in helping to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
City Manager Paul Fiser emphasized this is for city residents only. Just having a Clyde mailing address does not mean a person is a city resident, he said.

Talk About Clyde: City hires Garcia as rec administrator
Jeanette Liebold Rickert
Konner Garcia is Clyde’s new recreational administrator. He has been on the job since mid-March putting things in place for summer activities at Community Park.
“It’s been enjoyable getting things rolling,” he said. He has been busy lining up and putting together teams for T-ball and Knothole leagues, meeting with coaches and passing out equipment.
Later there will be Kids Camps to plan for in June and July. He said they will be trying to maintain social distancing as much as possible. Independence Day fireworks will be held on July 3, but any other activities are yet to be determined, because of the uncertainty of COVID-19 guidelines that are subject to change.
