Reporter weve been all over the bay area, and weve needed everything from hats, umbrellas, to snow boots. Whacky weather from here to sacramento. This is something we havent seen in a while. Snow on mt. Diablo. Its crazy weather. Because this is my niece, shes visiting from chile. And it was nice a few days ago. Reporter not anymore. The first weeks i have been here is super warm. Now we taking our jackets out. Reporter a storm sweeping through the bay area, jumping about four inches of snow on the mountain. Just before sunset, east of san jose, mt. Hamilton also picture perfect, blanketed with snow. Hail coming down hard in several spots, including gilroy. And in concord. But nothing quite like the Severe Weather sacramento saw, a slushy mess on the road. Drivers getting stuck in inches of hail. Roads so slippery, peep pulling over to avoid a crash. Back here in the bay area, the snow is what got everyones attention, along with the muchneeded rain. This is the weather that we need. We
Morning show on today in the bay. And live above livermore, first, lets go to kari hall. A lot of people saw a lot of rain. We had rain, snow, even small hail and ice pellets. As we get a look, you can see the traces of that snow still left over but it is starting to melt. Mt. Diablo also had some snow but nearly an inch of rain as well. And allen rock park, just under an inch of rain and we had almost three quarters of an inch of rain in concord and morgan hill about, a tenth of an inch there. San francisco about, a quarter of an inch. So we had some decent amounts out of the first storm system that will be in a series of two or three as we go throughout the week. Now rain has dipped farther to the south and were getting some clearing in the bay area. We take a live look outside in San Francisco. The Golden Gate Bridge looks beautiful. It is still really cool out there. Well be heading into the upper 50s. So the snow were seeing in the east bay and the south bay will likely be melting
