A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect. Areas of blowing snow are contributing to potentially hazardous travel conditions that are expected to continue into Friday. Here are the school closings and delays for the Rochester and Southeast Minnesota area for Friday February 5, 2021:
Byron Public Schools: Distance Learning Day All K-12 Students; Project Kids Will Open at 7am
Charles City Community Schools: 1-Hour Delay
Chatfield Public Schools: Closed Today; Valleyland Open
Decorah Community Schools: CLOSED; Students follow remote learning plan
Dover-Eyota Public Schools: 2 Hour Delay; Elementary starts at 10:00, Middle School/High School at 10:15
Fillmore Central Public Schools: Closed Today; Distance Learning
Accumulating snow is expecting to fall across southeast Minnesota overnight creating difficult travel conditions. Several schools have already called off classes for Friday, January 15th.
Early Dismissals for Thursday, January 14, 2021
Slick conditions are being reported all around southeast Minnesota and there is still more winter weather in the forecast. Because of that, some schools in our area will be dismissing early today.
Byron Public Schools – Primary closing at 12:35 PM; Middle/High School closing-1:00 pm, PK closing at 3:00 pm.
Grand Meadow Public Schools -Closing at 1:00 PM SACC open until 2:00 PM
North Iowa Community Schools - Closing at 1:00 PM
Southland Public Schools - Closing at 1:00 PM
ZED ALC/South Campus – Closing at 1:00 PM
