MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Members of the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division said its investigation into a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a Myrtle Beach police officer last fall is continuing.
A SLED spokesperson said in an earlier version of this story the agency had wrapped up its investigation into the death of Myrtle Beach Police Pfc. Jacob Hancher. Shortly thereafter, a member of the agency’s Freedom of Information Act office said a mistake by their office led to the earlier announcement that the case had been closed. ....
