A DECISION on a new crossing for a busy Middlesbrough road will be made in spring – with its installation planned this summer. Traffic on Stainton Way is set to get busier in the coming years as more houses are built in the south of the borough. And there have been calls for a new signalised crossing to be put in following a nasty collision on the route in December. Leaders at Middlesbrough Council will sign off a new crossing near the Stokesley Road roundabout in March. Stainton and Thornton councillor David Coupe told the Local Democracy Reporting Service the signalised system should be operating in the summer. ....
