How they re treated. It s something you don t forget. Throughout his life, Scholl s motto has been service over self. During his career, Scholl believes he s saved a handful of people.“It s not about you, it s about the people you can take care of,” said Scholl. “Whether it s the caller, the agencies that we serve, or even the staff. Making sure their needs are met, making sure they have the tools to be able to get the job done.”In 2019, when he was diagnosed with kidney and spinal cancer, his friends and neighbors stepped up to support him for a change. “It was amazing,” said Scholl. “Very humbling to be cared for like that.
