Public safety workers in the region will be getting their first COVID-19 immunizations this week, as part of the state’s distribution plan.
Leominster will host one of the four clinics.
This is not a public clinic, but specifically for police, firefighters, EMTs and other public safety workers who are part of the initial distribution, Clinton Board of Health Chairman Steve Lipka told
The Item, a sister publication of the
Leominster Champion.
Leominster is part of the Montachusett Public Health Network. Lipka said departments in the region were asked how many immunizations they needed and about 800 doses were sent for the 11 towns in the district.
