A major government u turn in england as the exams regulator says all a level and gcse students in england will be given the grades assessed by their teachers or their moderated grade if that was higher. It will make would like to say sorry for that and we are now making steps to correct that. The opposition says the government should have sorted this out weeks ago, while the education secretary has apologised saying students had been affected by significa nt inconsistencies. Where there is quite obviously injustices and we have seen that in the system, we have to act. This problem has been there for months and the government has not sorted it out.
