To an arrest. Surveillance video helped Cleveland Police catch an Early Morning rapist. Car jackings and snatch and grabs caught on tape. Now prosecutors want to create a map and data base of cameras. Security cameras could be used on this program. A program thats volunteer. We want to get all of the evidence we can. Prosecutor program. Prosecutors would like homeowners and businesses to let them know if they have a camera. The program is just starting and they want to get the word out. We are in partnership with the Police Department and Community Groups to get this information into our data base and push it back out to law enforcement. They know the addresses where the cameras are and will help police get the evidence eyes on the video. Video surveillance is a great piece of evidence. I think its a clear piece of evidence that can either exonerate somebody or implicate them. As you say, ohio state trooper Kenneth Velez was struck as he conducted Traffic Enforcement near mckinley in lakewood closed down for awhile. He was outside his cruiser when he was struck at this point. Details still being investigated by the state police. Trooper velez was 48yearsold and leaves behind three children and worked out of the cleveland post. I90 was closed and back open now as and why. Again state trooper velez died of injuries at metro after being struck while conducting traffic outside his vehicle.
