Seriake Dickson, Cleopas Moses, Tokunbo Abiru, and Nora Dadu’ut take the oath of office at the Senate chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja on December 15, 2020.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has sworn in four new lawmakers into the red chamber of the National Assembly.
Those sworn in on Tuesday include former Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa West), Mr Cleopas Moses (Bayelsa Central), Mr Tokunbo Abiru (Lagos East), and Professor Nora Dadu’ut (Plateau South).
The newly inaugurated lawmakers were returned elected by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the bye-elections conducted to fill the vacant seats in the Senate.

Senate President Lawan swears in Seriake, Abiru, Moses, Dadu’t

PRESIDENT of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan Tuesday swore in the immediate past Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to represent Bayelsa West in the Senate.
Also sworn in as Senators were Cleopas Moses, PDP, Bayelsa Central; Michael Adetokunbo Abiru, All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos East and Professor Nora Ladi Dabu’t, APC, Plateau South.
The new Senators were sworn in yesterday at exactly 11:04am shortly after the commencement of plenary.
The oath of office and allegiance were administered on the Senators by the Clerk of the Senate, Ibrahim El- Ladan during plenary.

The Senate, on Tuesday, swore in four new senators from Bayelsa, Plateau and Lagos states to fill in the vacant seats created in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
The new Senators are; Seriake Dickson, Bayelsa West; Cleopas Moses, Bayelsa Central; Nora Ladi, Plateau South and Mikail Adetokunbo Abiru for Lagos East senatorial districts.
Seriake Dickson from Bayelsa is replacing Senator Diri Duoye who is currently the governor of Bayelsa State while Senator Cleopas Moses replaced Senator Lawrence Erudjakpor, who is the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state.
