3 3 3 3 3 next week. Little bit early 3 3 a local ganization that provides veterans with service dogs is getting a helping hand from an unlikely source. Prison inmates. 3 as our Jetske Wauran reports. Theyre part of a new program in south dakota thats benefiting three groups. The veterans. The inmmates. And the dogs. 3 here at the mike durfee state prison in springfield, south dakota, two Nonprofit Organizations are teaming up with 12 inmates that are disabled veterans. nats 3 these guys are doing outstanding you know. The program runs seven days a a week, where 12 inmates are assigned to work from 6 to 11 the morning, then at 12 30 to 4 30 in the afternoon, and last shift at 5 30 to about 9 30 in the evening. And theyre teaming up with partners for patriots, a Nonprofit Organization that trains service dogs for disabled veterans. Inmates tell me, the program is a winwin for them. It helps us with our attitudes. Encourages us to change our ways because if we can work with our attitudes
