She s better qualified to answer about what exactly the special prosecutor can do. i would say a couple things. one is that bob mueller is a law man, first and foremost but he s a political creature, he understands the ways of washington and has operated in that for a long time. it s understood that his investigation could be curtailed and he s on a short leash in that sense. part of the reason he s focussed on the obstruction case and tried to get it nailed down before moving to the international levels, he s been working on those, but he s at least getting the obstruction piece in place, so if the attorney general gets replaced or rod rosenstein gets fired and replaced with a new deputy that mueller would have set in motion, gotten as much on the record in the lock up in the first side. but again i m interested to see what jill thinks as a technical ....
