The Health Unit gave a breakdown for the past two days (due to no update on Friday):
257 cases are reported from December 31st, 2020
182 cases are reported from January 1st, 2021

Cases increased from 7,646 on Thursday December 31st to 8,085 on Saturday January 2nd and 2,280 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.
The Health Unit says 60 cases are outbreak-related, 4 cases are community acquired, 1 case is a close contact of a confirmed case, and 374 cases are still being investigated.
They say 5,660 people locally have recovered (an increase of 84 recoveries).
There have been eight new deaths from COVID-19 since the Health Unit’s last update on Thursday, bringing the local death toll to 145. The Health Unit says:

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit said that five people, all patients, have tested positive on the hospital s 6N floor.
