The police in Accra have arrested a Service driver whose assigned vehicle was reportedly used to commit robbery. Two occupants of the said service vehicle with registration number GP 3513 reportedly attacked and robbed a Burkinabe national of $209,172, being proceeds from a gold business on Sunday February 7, 2021.
Reports gathered by The Chronicle indicate that one Suleman Sodre, the Burkinabe national, went to lodge at the Classic Guest House at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra.
On the Sunday at about 1300 hrs, he went to sell his three kilogrammes of gold to one Alhaji Abdul for $209,172.
On his way back to the guest house, the occupants of the police service vehicle accosted and robbed him of the amount and speed off to an unknown destination. ....
