Grand jury hands down murder indictments

EDWARDSVILLE Indictments in a double homicide in Godfrey, as well as the Feb. 20 murder of an Alton man, were among those handed down by a Madison County grand jury on Thursday.
An eight-count indictment was announced against Bryce V. Andrews in the Feb. 1 murder of Leonard J. Ebrey and Robert B. Andrews, Bryce Andrews’ adopted father.
The two were discovered stabbed to death in their Godfrey home after emergency personnel responded to a fire at that location. Bryce Andrews was taken into custody at a St. Louis area hospital. ....
